Theia reads it with smart, proprietary mathematical algorithms that turn billions of real signals into a market's natural segments.
Products that rank for the same searches, and appear on the same pages, are treated by the market as the same choice — so they cluster together. The clusters are the segments. They come from the data, not from a category tree.
Why it's hard — and protected
Finding clusters that are stable — the same input giving the same answer every run, with no spurious or badly-formed groups — is a hard mathematical problem. The specific techniques Theia uses to solve it are part of our protected IP. We show you the result, not the recipe.
